How to Fly Planes

Hello,
I have being trying to fly planes now for sometime, and i have gotten to the point where I learned how to not blow up my plane by pressing the spacebar. I now know that the plane must be stopped, then (in direct control) pressed the spacebar, and refuel the plane again while its literally in the ground. How do you get the plane out of the ground and start flying?
