Are you kidding me?

Pretty trees and colors, get outta here! We need major flight model corrections first and foremost, ai improvements, sound revisions. Gameplay and historical accuracy comes before graphics!!!

Yes - how hard can it be?

I don't understand why people are here writing posts when they could be coding their own algorithms for deferred shading to fix those shimmering shadows etc? And how hard could it be to fix some scalable threaded solution for calculating exact per-pixel collision and response code for a couple of million trees and bushes in southern England? Really? C'mon let's get to it!

And don't forget about all the complaints afterwards like:
- The tree collision is wrong as the plane prop should be able to trim the top branches with no problem.
- The shades are to dark (By the way, I have a VGA monitor from 1975)
etc.. etc..

The twitching shadows. They really annoy me.

AI

So pilots act like in real life .. so gunners act like in real life ..

just a small one ..

If i see another Emil Ace dive on a defiant from 6 high, open fire and MISS! and the defiant gunner decides to shoot @ nothing in the distance.. and MISS! i'm going to burst into tears! ... ummmth .. just thinking about it .. sniff

The first thing I'd do is make sure each aircraft had WEAKSPOTs recordered, so enemy aircraft knew where it was safe to attack from. For example, British bombers should be attacked from underneath, Defiants ONLY from 6 Low or 12 noon etc etc. Then if the Enemy is an ACE, they will only attack from those weak points, Novices will probably not know this and attack from anywhere.

I really fail to see the sense of this thread, as modding is not going to happen in the foreseeable future.

We could as well have a thread like:
If you were a pig, and you had wings - where would you fly first?

Fire, rivers of fire. Fire reaching into the skies, cities on fire, fire you could sea from fifty miles away.

Smoke, great columns of belching black smoke, smoke that hangs in great lenticular clouds over a target, smoke that's visible from fifty miles away.

Explosions, great vast explosions lifting balls of fire and smoke high into the air with debris raining down and shock waves tearing at other objects near by, plucking aircraft from the sky.

And an AI that doesn't keep flying into terrain.

Modding a new encryption to prevent others to mod the game and open pandoras box even more.

Admitted this is off any logical thinking, but well....
Keep fingers of modding and prevent the com. getting splitted again! Plz!
