That's amazing. The pilot must have done a controlled landing for it to be in such good condition. It would be fascinating if they can uncover the story of how it ended up there and what became of the crew

From what I can gather they've already ID'd the plane and when it was shot down. Only two of the crew survived and spent the remainder of the war as POW's in Canada.

I find it surprising that the pilot and a crew member survived the impact or that the plane survived.



So much glass in the front, I am surprised that the impact did not flood the front causing the plane to flip and break apart.

They believe the pilot put it down on the water, so round of applause from me for a start!!
As there are none surviving( save for this one being reasonable intact) at all I'd like to see them raise and conserve it.
