Game just freezes

Hello everyone!

I just bought the game Off-Road Drive, which I was really looking forward to play, via Steam. But when I start it, the intro videos are playing (I cannot skip them with the mouse or keyboard) and after the last video has finished the screen turns black. The task manager says, that the application is not responding, even right after I start it and open the task manager.

I installed all the latest drivers for my graphics card and DirectX etc. I also already tried compatibility modes and running the exe as admin. Not even a bit changed. Please help me!

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit
MS-7522 Mainboard
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 260

Same for me!
On my notebook it runs fine, on my desktop it doesn't. I've got exactly tha same problem as written above by Matthias.

Me too, opimization on PC is just a hassle... Especially when it comes to games from smaller developers!

Same here, again.
I bought the game from Steam.
The game starts, but around 30 seconds after, it crashes, and it says : "ShippingPC-PP3WorkGame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".
My drivers are up to date.

My specs :
Intel Core i7 620M
Nvidia GeForce GT330M
4GB RAM
Windows 7 x64 Pro

So far, it seems the common is that we all have a Intel i7. Could it be the origin of the problem ?

mine crashes out during the intro video, in the same spot each time (20-odd seconds in) - however if you just hit 'esc' during the video it goes to main menu and works fine. maybe give this a shot?

I have the same problem, first time after download, I played for one hour, then left the game.

And now it's showing the intro, and then right after there is only a black screen.

Mate the problem is we can't even press esc, the game locks up as soon as the intro videos start playing and when their done the game never loads to the menu
