Help with setup on an Intel I3 system!
Hello guys, I need some advice on setting up on an Intel I3 system with integrated graphics (...if that is working?!!!). I can install the game ok... but..., got the menu, etc, but the when I start any missions i get sound but no display!
I am on win7 64bit, 4GB, Intel coreI3 CPU with integrated graphics. So far I have tried to change the render to DirX9 but no luck,... any thoughts? much appreciated! |

Aer9o as others have said, I think you will need to install a seperate graphics card. I would recomend a card with at least 1GB of vram.

With an i3 system you definately need a good graphics card to compensate.
Also what mainboard do you have? It's most likely compatible with an i5 - I would recommend upgrading to that and selling the i3. |

I am struggling with a AMD 965 3.4 ghz BE, 550 gtx, and 4 gig ram. Using win xp 32.
There is no way your rig will play this at reasonable frames and decent graphix. Once I upgrade to win 7 64 in the next week or so, I will be able to feed more ram to my system and I hope that makes a difference for me. |

The 550 might be a bit challenged with the game, but wait and see how your win upgrade plays out, I am absolutely sure you won't regret it. Plus a mild overclock to 3.8 ghz using the fsb (watch your memory speed, don't go over the max specified speed with that, might have to downclock it first a little) may also help. I had mine overclocked to 4.1 ghz, but for some reason where I have it now I hit a sweet spot with 3.8. As for the OP, sorry to agree with the others, integrated graphics are not going to run this game or much else. Best to get your motherboard info and see if you can upgrade to a dedicated graphics card which in turn will bring up the issue if your have a sufficient power supply to run that new graphics card. It's an old, yet unavoidable dilemma many face when trying to upgrade their system that way. |
