Awesome! Thanks, that zoom in works wonders.

If only we could map it to our own buttons because now I'm having trouble trimming the plane while maneuvering. Oh well, not like WWII pilots could really maneuver well while trimming (if they were crazy enough to trim while fighting!).

But wow, that helps a lot. Now I just have to get used to the controls.

Thanks to Anton & Co. for coming through, can't wait until the 360 gets it!

Does this mean we won't have to see any more "The Patch Is Never Coming Out!!!!!" conspiracy theory threads on this forum

This will be my choice with pad and I should say you should try this.

To look you just move right stick and to get different views click it.

D-pad does Rockets bombs and flaps
Square zooms
X guns
triangle commands to flight ? I haven't tried this one yet
o map

the only thing is there is no trim button

Didn't check that! Sounds awesome! Thanks!!!!

Real planes!

The blackout/redout is SO GOOD that there is no way anybody's gonna be turning 10 to 12-second circles in any plane. They've got it back to the realistic 19 seconds. Pull max-g even at 300kph, and your pilot goes blind.

One major disappointment, you still can't set l2 and r2 to be rudder pedals as an axis. They still work only as buttons, where rudder is either full-on or full-neutral.

You have to reset the trim a lot more often as it is more drastically affected by speed and AOA now.

The tipping-on-landing problem appears solved, at least for the fw-190 which I landed in training mode.

I still haven't bothered to go online - it took some getting used to just fighting two fw-190's with an la5.

Have you tried mapping the trim to the pads L3 button? Would that work or not?

I'll try some of the other modes to see if it's more apparent.
Thats kinda disapointing. For me that was the most important thing to be fixed.

Oh and What about in cockpit stall shuddering sound effects, have they been added?

Having played again I think it might just be a bug with the kill/crash display, as when I checked the score menu the number of kills our team got exceeded our individual kill count.

Like all planes they all have their strengths and weaknesses. In reality depending on the era the 51 wasn't nessarily the best plane it depended on a lot of factors.

Good to see people are still interested in this title. I wonder how many will actually convert over to flying IL2 1946...
