Bf 109E4 Stab I.JG20 (o+ Hofe WNr 1490 France 1940
These are probably some of the best color photo's of early WWII 109's out there. Anyway have done this batch of early Stab aircraft. Matthew |

Bf 109E1 9.JG51 (Yellow 13+) belly landed on a French Beach France 1940
This aircraft made a force landing on a beach along the French coast. The photo isn't the best and the plane is half submerged which also doesn't help. But any photo is better than none. I known a couple of artist's have done this one but I had the template and decided to add it anyway. Matthew |

Bf 109E4 7.JG51 (White 13+) Walter Oesau WNr 1432 France 19th Aug 1940
Bf 109E4 7.JG51 (White 13+) Walter Oesau WNr 1432 France 19th Aug 1940
I started doing this skin and when I looked at the photo showing the kill markings for some strange reason I decided to recreate as best I can the markings. I checked my database and they match even added the correct dates and cross referenced everything. You loose a lot of the detail however with the skin. Anyway looking at the tail section the profile had the patch as green but I feel it was most likely a repair done and was probably in red-brown. I hope I'm right I also put the correct werk no in even though in the photo it has a white outline if I did this it was too small and spoilt the affect so left the no 1432 in black. Got the cockpit color changed exact so looks pretty good to me anyway. So in away I'm rather proud of this one and hope you all like it also. Matthew |

Continuing
I have a couple of additional version on my site coming up. Anyway here is the one I favoured. I have done the blue slightly darker because the game bleaches the colors especially light blue. Matthew |

Hi guys here is another early bird for you. I believe that the 'Top Hat' emblem was only on one side I haven't any photo's which show it on both sides. Matthew www.asisbiz.com |

Thanks for doing these acred. The light blue surprises me, I thought the 109s were more grey.

Bf 109E-1 of 5./ JG52
Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 of 5./ JG52 belonging to Uffz. Leo Zaunbrecher 'Red 14', the Bf 109E-1 of Uffz. Leo Zaunbrecher of 2./JG52 was forced to land in a field near Lewes after being damaged in combat by P/O J. McLintock of 615Sqn. during the early afternoon of 12 August 1940. It carried a high demarcation upper camouflage of RLM 02/71 and the red painted 2.Staffel 'Little Devil' emblem superimposed on a white disc was painted on the port cowling only. The aircraft was also fitted with a rear view mirror mounted on the windscreen framing. Although shown in this profile with a red forward section, it is understood that some eye-witness reports stated that the spinner was red. However, whether these reports referred to the entire spinner or just the tip is not known for certain.
