Feuerfalke, WTF is your deal?
Are you as much a jerk as you appear on this forum in real life?

Just what does my statement you quoted have to do with: Discussion about, referrals and links to mods or MOD sites ?

4.09 is going to be an official release sanctioned by 1c.

You posted a link to your source, which is a forum for mods, which again is forbidden. So I was just hoping you don't spoil the news of this pleasant evening and you asured yourself that this comment is legally posted here. After all, this announcement has not take place, yet

If you take it as a personal offense, just because "Feuerfalke" posted it, that is your personal problem, though, as no personal offense was posted, made nor intended.

I think it its absoulutely possible that there might come some pictures or info within September.

The game should be more than 90% ready if I have understood things correctly, and thus there should be really a lot to show. But Oleg doesn't show anything, and I'm quite sure he has a good reason for it. I just can't think of what that reason is.
The fact that www.stormofwar.com seem to belong to UBISoft must be a minor problem. Just give the game another name.
What could it be other than that?
Problems with digital rights management or copy protections shouldn't prohibit the release of pictures and videoes.
Could there be some problems between developer and publisher that are yet not sorted out? He still could release some computer specs..

I don't get it. But I have absolutely no knowlegde of what kind of hurdles and problems you have to solve before you start to promote an upcoming game. It seems to me though, as if Oleg has been quite close to starting the PR-work several times, but then has been held back.

September is far from over, so I'm still hoping.

I'm happy that it's coming and I'm more happy that it will be soon.

I don't care if it will be september in the posting date, but 2009 would be nice.

Oops Feuerfalke, my bad, I forgot I posted a link, apologies for that one.

I wonder why the mods are not all over it?
Maybe, since it was a link to a non mod conversation they let it slide?
Maybe they simply do not care as much as you do if a mod comment slips in sometimes?

I wonder how the screenshots forum here, which contains mostly mod related material and discussion escaped your scrutiny?

Maybe you need to take your linking to the rules expertise over there, eh?

I linked to a non mod related topic on a mod site, hang me!

Well, maybe no Oleg shots of the new game but there is sure a whole lot of buzz surrounding the old one.

We cannot mention the pending WWI stuff or the new planes, maps, etc., shown in the screenshot forum as that would be talking about mods so all we got left is the pending OFFICIAL release of 4.09 referred to here:

I'm glad to inform you that patch 4.09 release candidate has just been recompiled. After intensive testing, if no further bug will be found, it will be officially released soon.

PS. It will take surely less than "Two Weeks".

That's good news, Sunchaser!

Personally, I would appreciate if you 3-4 guys kept the arguing between you at a lower level, or maybe just took it in a private topic.

No worries, Sunchaser.

I could understand it the way things were before, but since development was taken over by 3rd party, IMHO the fundamentation of this ban grows a bit weak. I hope that with the official statement about the patch this will be somewhat lifted or at least no longer prosecuted.
On the other hand, your post didn't alert a mod, so maybe we see some part of this change already taking place?

Good to hear the patch is near - thanks for the news - S!
