13000ft in Clod is more realistic than in il2, just my opinion. Ok 109e 34000ft service ceiling is not modeled, 13000ft is medium altitude ok, sorry if my rubbish words confused u three times. Considering that most of people snakes at 1000ft all the time on servers for me 13000ft is so high!
Cheers

I understood well, and agree with you mate. When flying at 4500 m CloD's landscape is gorgeous. Cheers to you as well!

When I fly at 4k I'm like this...

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

That was a hoot.
We don't need motivation. We need Spitfires that work and/or more IIas

It seems I have to reformulate what I like the most in Clod; previously I mentioned the 1/1 scale map and 3d world, but in an other thread someome talks about a 2/3 scale map. So guys, I'm asking to u, can someone explain what scale Clod is designed in? 1/1 scale should be what I like the most in a combat flight sim and Clod in particular...
I should have become aware about this, effectively fuel consuption is a bit low...
Sorry if a bit OT.

I think this guy mistaken 1946 with CloDo. 1946 has a 2/3 ratio. If i get the distance between for example Dover and Calais in CloDo it around the same as i get it on a regular map.

Yes, it has been stated that CloD is 1:1 which it the way it should be. Scaling down really sucks in my opinion.

The sim is so deep regarding the damage models and landscape textures.

The bombers even in there current state are alot of fun to fly.

Dropping the last bomb on a target in the ATAG server and seeing the "Blue has completed all objectives, Mission over, Great Job Blue!" message splash across my screen!

Others have said it but the guys I fly with on coms realy make it!

What I like most of IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover it gives us WW2 era simmers new hope to have current level and the best yet flight and combat simulation of those awesome warbirds. It's a promising foundation.

edit: the hope and promise is not yet realized but I am confident it will be. Those 1C guys are pretty much the best in the business. If some can pull this off, those are da men to do it. Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting the stellar performance from them and to deliver The Best WWII era combat simulation yet, par none!
