I find it quite playable. I am not getting stutters like others are saying. London does hammer it a lot, 20fps by Tower Bridge verses 80ish heading east towards the sea. I dropped my res to 1280x800 and medium settings. Still nice to look at

As an aside, is it possible to enable the 2d gauges overlay while leaving the cockpit visible, as in RoF? Seems to me that this would be a very useful feature while learning complex engine management. I mean of course you could just use the virtual cockpit, but that's ugly :p

I am running fine as well. e8400 4 gigs of ram 4870 1 gig graphics card.

What I remember though is that because we had problems with optimization with DCS a-10c is that I disabled alot of things in my bios. CIE, multithreading and the like. Don't know if this is responsible but be aware that although you have decent hardware that many MANY software things can wreak havoc.

also if you have 2 graphics cards for multiple screens etc, try just using your best graphics card. many users on Eagle Dynamics forums had good results with this.

Thanks Jimbop

I should have mentioned I'm running 1680,1050 and my low level run with the poorer fps had AA set at x8.

You can also look at AIDA64 for benchmarking including logs which EVGA Precision doesn't have. Not free but there is a trial period. Hopefully we only need 30 days to get the problems fixed!
