Nothing special about these screenies but the first two have a nifty 110 nose:

And sharp eyed viewers might notice a subtle out of the ordinary changs in this shot:

Rollin' an early patch version, downsampled. Now I see how unbelivable it is, that so many aesthetic features have been cut out.

That's a great shot. I so miss that early lighting engine.
What version of the game do you have there? I have an early one but not the original release.

Glad that you like it!
This is version 1.0.0.13820 and yes, the shading on airplanes looked so beautiful here (without any imposed weathering).
The self-shadowing is just breathtaking...
I also noticed that the Spitfire gunsight illumination used a different effect. I don't really know how realistic it is compared to the one that we have in the last official update, but it does look nice, doesn't it?

It's a shame that they didn't really make 100% 3d cockpits, but this is still amazing.

And I mean, look at those shadows! ARGH! What have they done!

Ah ok. I have the same version. It does look really good. That downsamling you got there is a rather interesting animal. So basically your game runs at higher resolution and then is being showed on the monitor at your native one. That way you eliminate the jagged edges without the need for antialiase. Interesting.
What kind of performance hit do you get from that?
