I don't know witch plane you are refering to and how you are used to fly but for me flying Hurries and 109s rads settings matter ! No way for me to reach the apex of max speed without closely monitoring those parameters !

Almost more than the fixing i just want a interface that is easy to use rather than the current awkward mess, and the QMB back for quick flying goodness as I do not have much free time alas. That Modded QMB from old IL2 was great for quick scenarios...

We went in and did our job the best we could and try to get back alive.
I think most of us are attracted to this genre because we kind of wish we had been there and could become that part of history. Of course its nice not to face real death. It's also neat to see real life results emerge from a simulation.

I remember those days. And let me add that this was the type of mission where P47 and P51 really shined the brightest. You faced them @8000m and there was rarely anything you could do other than run for your life. And it very true that a huge B24/B17 formation looks fantastic. You group up with your mates in a diamond and take em head on from above. It suddenly begins to rain with yellow tracers everywhere. You place careful deflection and let em rip with 4-6 MG151/20 cannons. You exit out of the bomber formation range and are immediately jumped by 2-3 fighters. Amazing.

I also witnessed other missions, where the fighter escort was lured by 2nd fighter group, which left the bombers unprotected. What a feast it was. One by one, the fatties fell from the sky, rarely with burning engines, often completely torn apart. Luftwaffles took their turn and so on until the ammo ran out.

Same I can say about simulating desperate LW offensive missions in Normandy, such as airfield raids. I mean I knew it was all lost already, but I couldn`t help but take 5 of them down before they made me bail out.

this is not the correct thread to discuss this in detail, but i fly the 109s, and one reaches the same top speed in level flight~470kph, with fully opened rads, both water and oil, as with almost closed ones.

You can reach 500micro+ deck with 1 to 2 m/s descent and 490 flat

Wow 490 flat? I've never made that happen, I can only just reach 470 just like David. Mind you, that's what Cliffs of Dover says when I hover over the dial.

I figured that explanation was clear, but obviously it wasn't enough for you and the other people who can't read. Assuming that the game engine is fixed, we have hundreds of planes, and everything works great at +100fps, what CONTENT would make the game more fun.

We're talking about CONTENT! Read the OP again, this time actually allow the words to form a coherent thought in your head, then post. Most everyone else in the thread understood what the point of the thread was, but you and the "+++post" crew didn't.

As for 3rd part add-ons. Those are great, but it hinders additional players joining the game community because they then have to start searching the net to find the right mod, then the right mod patch, and if it isn't installed just right then they can't play, and have to start over again. Having additional play modes actually built into the game engine allows them the skip that. I've been to other forums where people have attempted to play IL-2 online using HSFX, or SEOW and have given up due to the bugginess and complexity of getting everything perfect.

You don't like the idea of integrated SEOW in the game, you never intend to try racing, or CTF, that's fine. This isn't the thread for you. Go post in the "lets fly in a circle as low as we can" thread and sperg out about your kill/death ratios. The rest of us are talking about additional content and game modes that we think should have/be included in the game. Not being a dick is as easy as reading the OP, and then not posting here.

How about you wait for Luthier to post another 15,000 poly woodpile and then add your "+1, this will make the game perfect" comment.

hahaha

A create your own custom plane mode.

I use to play the older flight Simulators back in the day and i remember how you could 'somewhat' create your own model planes and fly them.

This would be awesome for this game as well. Be able to create your own flying machines and have fun with the physics engine itself. I dont care how hard or time consuming it would be to add this feature.. Im just saying my idea on what i would want to make this game more fun if everything was working perfect ect...
