ATI and IL2 openGL, you need to turn off adaptive ansiotropic texture filtering for IL2.

this texture rendering does not work for opengl.

With HD5XXX work fine file "atio6gxx.dll" and with HD6xxx work fine file "atioglxx.dll". (checked)

About ¿where this file "atio6gxx.dll"?
....search "atio6gxx.dl_" and do next procedure:

- Copy "atio6gxx.dl_" to C:\
- Run CMD
Into CMD ->C:\ + enter
->expand atio6gxx.dl_ atio6gxx.dll + enter

- From Windows, Copy c:\atio6gxx.dll to your Il2 folder.

Try the config.ini changes with one dll or the other.
(RMK: In my case work fine "atio6gxx.dll" extracted from 12.2 Ati drivers, but I can use too atioglxx.dll, but in this case extracted only from 11.5 Ati Drivers)

I have a AT 6970
Any working solution to get rid of flickering textures, without disabling AA?
(I'm using the latest drivers - 28.03 -)
Thanks
Giorgio

The only solution for the flickering water I have been able to find has been to run Il2 in directX but I dont like the overall look that comes with directX so Ive accepted the flickering water. By the way the flickering isnt as bad unless there is a hill or mountain in the background reflecting off the water. I think it has something to do with specular light.

Edit: just relized I can get rid of flickering in opengl by not running in perfect mode and still use 3 screens by doing so, also gets rid of flashig black box

Hi Giorgio,
What driver run fine in your computer under opengl?

Search atioglxx.dll and atio6gxx.dll (or atioglxx.dl_ and atio6gxx.dl_ using expand.exe utility) in this driver and use the procedure that I was put in page 5 or this post.
After install 12.3 drivers or the driver that you want.

I'm using 12.3 and 0 problems.

I'm using an old 11.4 version and it's working fine, but it's giving me big troubles with other games...
Thanks so much for tip
I'll give a try.
Cheers
