Yeah… you can find alot of good troops mixes in this game. I like to advance with 2 or 3 foot nights with a royal archer with multiple support as a covering unit, The orcs would just smash themselves against it and get decimated.
And foot nights are excellent for urban warfare. My level 5 foot nights in a castle are rated at 31 melee, and 30 defense.
I also have 2 rangers that are fun too use with the hit and run tactic. The war eagle helps out also. Almost forgot mass heal is a life & timesaver.

Yep, especially with segmented movement perk. Hit and run.

Default Great Game

As a lover of General series I love this game too. Congrats.

Now some suggestions:

- PBEM mode for multiplayer. Since a lot of us don´t have much time for play multi, play by email is very usefull and funny. This mode is implemented in most of turn based games. I hope you think about this.

- Map editor, I know it is a nobilis decision but I would be great for a longer game playability.

Really a great and very addictive game which updates the turn based games specially good for nostalgics of board games without enough space at home or without enough friends to play

Regards

Just finished Human and Orc campaigns on Hard (luckily I had week off work to relax, otherwise it wouldn't be that fast xPP), and I'm mentally preparing for The Elves
Most scenarios on gold, with reloading though (I mean reloading last turn to correct some foolish moves), but it was HARD anyway. With humans at the beginning, with orcs at the very end (those who played propably know why ). I had some silvers because I couldn't refuse collecting those walking exp and gold from villages

Game is AWESOME, it makes You read all unit and perks description(getting excited), and follow the plot like reading some fantasy book(getting even more excited). Not only game is good strategically (I know that AI is passive but if it wouln't be in some scenarios I'd got crushed like a bug , so I'm ok with it ), but it creates great story, and keeps player's attention to the extreme!

..One thing. Orc Bull Riders. I know that they look sorta like bull, but to me they are more like a boars, especially size-wise. I mean, hyena riders have bigger mounts than these guys! I thought that bulls for these soldiers have to be extraordinary, huge beasts, not old, sick and cripple, rejected by their tribe
So either rename them Boar Riders (which is cool, why not?), or enlarge those bulls please, ok?

Nice, enough of this typing, I have brand new campaign to play, so let's do it

P.S. Game is great, thank You 1C and pleeeeaaase don't leave it alone! Make expansion packs, new races (or same races with more units), random map generator and I'm gonna buy it all, every version, and I'll send You a postcard with best wishes on top of that

Thank you guys, good to hear this
Evgeny, do you know if we can hope that things like a map editor and a skirmish mode could be integrated in game though a patch? From my point of vue the translation of an existing map editor (I read here that a russian one already exist) and the addition of skirmich mode do not justify by theirself a sequel (to few content).
Please, tell us that this features will be integrated in game thought a patch, pleeeease!

Thank you guys for your reactivity, it is so pleasant to see developpers actively supporting their games

PS : I repeat, give us the tools and the community will do the work!

I second to Daystar, and Elmereth, I think that map editor, new maps and random map generator of course xP, will be released as an expansion pack, and later on there will be a sequel. So it's good to know that next part of Fantasy Wars (heh, I wonder if our kids will be using FW shortcut in the same way as we use FG for Fantasy General ) is on it's way, Disciples 2 was much, much better than first part

WE. WANT. MORE.

Thank You 1C

P.S. I think I'll change my sig on "hungry for more"
