DSOAL_XP wrapper worked for Realtek ALC887

DSOAL_XP wrapper worked for me. I have a Realtek ALC887. I had struggled initially with different wrappers; the plain DSOAL and the Indirect Sound, also fiddled with conf.ini and then finally settled with DSOAL_XP wrapper. The Console or GUI launcher didn't matter.

I didn't install the patch with "fix skins" on. Is it a problem and what was this option about?
