http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/

there is nothing wrong with learning, if it interests you...as to the rest, i think you just showed your character for what it is

See nudger, these are the types of people I want to associate myself with. People willing to learn about planes, and other things. Narrow minded people like yourself, now not all are bad people, but YOU have a serious problem with not knowing things. You can say I showed my character "for what it is", but you don't have a clue about who I am. So either quit trying to talk to me, and let me "enlighten" people to the magic that is WW2 Aerial Combat.

Also John, here is a couple links that should help you out with your Yak-3 interest. (Any anyone else for that matter.)

you just dont realise how funny you are do you?
because i dont have the same level of interest in a particular subject that you have, you call me stupid, when you dont know me or anything about me, and then you accuse me of saying things about you when i do not know you?
In this thread, you were asking why people play in sim mode when they are lacking in knowledge of aircraft performance. I explained why...its not difficult to understand, really it isnt! But ok to you i am stupid, like i would ever care what you think!....to me you are just funny.

Thanks nudger, I've been trying to become a comedian. Now I know I have a chance. Maybe I should start trying to setup shows in little "comedian dens"? Maybe I'll even get picked up as a first class act!!!

Anyway, here's another site for Yak-3 info.

Well, actually, even though Soviet Ace sounded smug (which he pointed out in the title, mind you), he didn't start calling anyone stupid directly. At least not after you started getting quite annoying by going against anything he said. I know he did in a weird way, but eventually Ace wound up trying to advise people how to improve their gameplay. He wasn't forcing anyone to do anything, yet still you have to throw around comments like "nope, i still don't wanna study". Well, if you don't want to, don't do it. No one really cares what you do. Soviet Ace was just trying to give advise, that's all.

I'm just going to put it plainly like this. If your flying online, and are flying a 109 of any model, then keep your dogfights high up in the sky, while if your flying something like a Yak-3 or La-5FN, then keep them low and fast. Also, this only seems to work on Realistic and Simulator, as Arcade takes all the fun away for most? (I don't have a problem with people playing Arcade, it's just not my style?)
