Here's a copy of my reply from another post on the forum: -
For me no more CTD, but I have worse stuttering than before. FPS down slightly but both cards are working evenly. Card temp's running at about 55deg + or - 2deg (Asus card running cooler than the EVGA, always has) percentage of use about 65--70% both cards (this appears to be up slightly) but I certainly have Sli operating again (EVGA precision tool readings). No frame tearing for me ( not noticable anyway). Trialed with single player London Attack (45---85fps depending on action, this is about what I was getting before). Still using my Nvidia Inspector profile which until we have official support seems to be ok for me. Just tried changing to native resolution (1440 x 900, 19" monitor) no difference. Returned to 1280 x 960. __________________

To all experiencing graphic 'glitches' with the hotfix, try deleting the cache. I had intermittent stutters before doing so, but this fixed it.

Yep, Already tried that Tony, did it twice. No difference, still increased stutters.

OK, have done a little more testing. Tried turning off/disabling Sli, stutters reduced (still there) but fps down (55fps). Turned Sli back on stutters increase so do fps (85fps).
One thing that is happening is when the game loads and gets to the black screen just prior to epiliptic warning, I'm now getting a double gold reticile which I didn't get before, with Sli turned off, single reticile. Is anyone else getting this happening (those with Sli) All testing as before with single player London Attack mission

I tried to delete "again" the cache and i am still getting the "shadow line" glitch.
I disabled SLI, deleted the cache and i get the glitch even running single card config. This is really annoying. Not only the SLI is still KAPUT, but now i am getting this weird "giant shade" that i never got before... I am beginning to believe SLI is a hopless case. And just last week I was thinking of donating... Maybe I had had too many of the "funny" mushrooms

For me using alternate frame rendering 2 works best, alt frame 1 gives below average frame rate of a single card and using alt 2 gives me about 3% increase in frame rate, although it seems to appear less smooth.. micro stutter kind of thing. I used track black death to benchmark, average ~34 fps
Everything on uber high, vsync on application settings and nvidia custom set 16x AF 4xAA 4xSuperSample 2xGTX580 Enabled Aero desktop theme for vsync to work correctly. I figure this hotfix has nothing to do with getting SLI/Xfire to work correctly but just to allow us to run the game when the bridge is enabled and/or allow people with permanent internally enabled SLI/Xfire to run the game. |
