I know it wont kill me.
BUT...they should have just said end of march / april. Instead of a specific date. I was about to take out my holiday on 24 march just because of this. Glad I didnt now.

1. It's a game.
2. There were dozens of people demanding an exact date. Apparently you can't do it right for everybody.

this steam realy sucks price-wise: its 49 USD and 49 €, which makes the price of european release 20 USD higher (i.e. 69 USD).

I seriously doubt that the extra profit will go to Maddox games..

That is... absolutely... fascinating!

This forum spends SO much energy to find something negative.

Prices are dependend on taxes, local prices and values. Distributors are bound to these.

Generally speaking, I agree. But looking into the details of it, there are still a lot of unanswered questions, about what's been implemented, what could have been implemented, and what might be implemented (or even worked around) in the future. We just haven't been given enough information to be able to state categorically what people will be able to do with the game without resorting to using illegally modified versions of it (which is not really an option for me I might add.)

Im a practical guy. I can accept if it doesn't come out till the 19th of April, that's just the way it works.

But...

If I can order it boxed from the UK and have it shipped a bit earlier I might just do that unless there's a problem activating it with Steam.

to Feuerfalke > are you trying to say that USA is on average poorer than EU? Look, I'd be glad to give all 49 € to Maddox games, not tu UBI, which makes absolutely NO effort in supporting COD.

Yes Steam is required to play any version of the game, at least in Multiplayer. You might be able to play it single player without, since it does not use steam DRM, sadly.

This may be possible if you use a proxy server, but you risk having your steam account banned so it is not in any way worth it.
