One question: some older shots and I think the last video showed a subtle reflection on surfaces with steep viewing angles. This looks great but hasn't made it into any of the recent shots. Any chance this effect will be featured in the final version? I think it makes a big difference towards photrealistic appearance, so I keep my fingers crossed...

Anyway, thanks Oleg and enjoy the weekend!

(and for the record because it comes up every year around this time: Orthodox Christmas is still two weeks away, so don't be surprised about an update today, and likewise if there won't be an update in two weeks - just FYI, hope that's not too OT )

reflection and other nice features depends of settings and power of the video card.
The shots are done using the non high end PC

we will selebrate new year coming at the night from 31 to 1. Next week

Merry Christmas Oleg and team. Thanks for the great screen shots again.
The last one of the Wellingtons is a work of art. The colour is beautiful, very nice to see the yellow on the RAF roundel is spot on. Well done

I think that I'll become a no life as soon as BoB is available !

Some little question about these fatnastic screens (wanted to say photos ... ):

- Will planes leave traces on the ground (taxi or crash) ?
- Will the grass move under the wind of the propeller or when flying very low (same question for water - will the water be affected when flying low above it -> white trace) ?
Water effects are in IL2 now. therefore can expect same and more in SOW

Looking good as always.

Just curious if LOD "pop-ups" will be apparent on lower detail settings or whether you have implemented a method to fade them in to be less intrusive? I'm sure it's always a trade-off for performance and may not be practical but at least will there be a distance slider that's manually adjustable for ground objects?

All the best!

Oleg, will you modify the clouds post-release so they look more realistic (e.g. flat-bottoms) or so that there are more clod-types? i've searched your posts, but you've never really commented on whether this will be tweaked

Have an awesome christmas, and best wishes. I didn't expect an update today, so what a pleasant surprise
Not all clouds appear to have flat bottoms. Especially when viewed from above.
