S!

That is an issue maybe TD could look into in the future patches? I have not encountered invisible trees except the forests at certain angle.

ok, winny,

conf.ini vs ingame options screen:
Any change the options screens adjusts values in the conf.ini.
In conf itself you can adjust it more precisely, plus certain values are not available through the ingame screen(like wide screen settings).
So if you decide to work with the conf, you should never ever again use the ingame screen as any changes there influence all kinds of settings in the conf - and might set them back.

values:
0: off
1: on
2/3/4: generally, the higher the better (water: ATI users can only use 2, same effect as 3 for NV)

If you start to play around with conf, make sure you copy it to a safe place first.

When changing the values, you usually don't know how bad the fps drop, therefore I suggest you test it with the "black death" .ntrk.:
In game press shift+tab, then enter:
fps START SHOW
actual fps will be displayed on top of screen
[to turn it off: fps STOP SHOW]

This link is google translated, but I think you can get the necessary informations out of it.

Concerning your system, I really don't think you can max out too many things. There weren't much infos about your GPU, but it sounds rather weak.
Well, you'll see - trial and error.

edit: while searching for your gpu and il2 I found this site: http://www.theblackfedora.com/index....d=17&showall=1
Awesome amount of info!

Thanks.. it is a bit weak, I'm waiting for some SoW specs before I spend any money!
I'll have a play around.

What does LandGeom=3 do? I checked mine and even with my settings at the highest possible... I have only 2 there. I changed it to 3 and it doesn't look any different...

S!

LandGeom=3 enables the longest visibility range of 72km together with VisibilityRange=3. This only on Perfect settings.
