I always use http://tinypic.com/, easy to use and you can chose what size you want the image to be in. Goodluck!

Photobucket is free. Use the old interface if you are given the choice...it has links under each thumbnail and you just click once and they are copied ready for you to paste here.

When I click on 'Manage Attachments' it says I can attach .jpg image files up to 9.54 MB (5000x5000 pixels) in size, so uploading to another site shouldn't be necessary, unless you want the images to be embedded in the thread so people don't have to click on them to see them full size.
