Congratulations Jafa.

Nice work!!!

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

This a great video to show off the mods, Jafa, well done.

We've added it as one of the best IL2 movies to http://flightsimmachinima.montydan.com/2009-movies

It's a really quiet time just now for IL2 moviemaking, Jafa, and you are one of the very few that I know producing high quality movies. Your last movie Nordic Revenge is also featured as one of the best for 2008.

There are a few new moviemakers making tentative steps in the business. I do hope your work and the past work of the old hands who have moved onto different ventures will inspire more to take up this rewarding hobby.

From: http://flightsimmachinima.montydan.com/2009-movies

This is not a true statement:

Quote:
Twighlight of the Gods by Doktorkop
This is the first ever IL2 movie to successfully integrate CGI humans to produce a creative and engaging story. A moving story about Luftwaffe pilots in the closing period of WW2. Even though the Luftwaffe had the awesome Me-262 "Schwalbe" turbojet fighter, they were facing insurmountable odds of Allied bombers and prop fighters. This is the story of two of these pilots.
Doktorkop did his first movie with CGI effects long time ago:

Few of my favourites are:

Twighlight of the Gods is his latest one...

DoolittleRaider,Joe, thanks very much , as ive already said , im quite surprised at the level of interest in a ten minute movie with NO action in it.
With regards to MMF , im not deliberatly not posting there , the fact is im very busy trying to sort out everyones instalation problems with my sounds, soon as this is done ill upload fullsceen version to download at MMF(two weeks.LOL).
For shure there dosnt seem to be any new material coming from the big guns or the peashooters at the mo , being part of the competition last year showed how much talent is out there , most of which are producing nothing which is a shame.

cheers
Jafa.

No problem, Jafa. Do keep up the good work!

Thor, the statement is a subjective judgement by the panal at Flight Sim Machinima, quote "This is the first ever IL2 movie to successfully integrate CGI humans".

While it is true that doktorkop has used CGI humans before, the integration was not of a high enough standard to be accepted on FSM.

We have very high standards on the site as we want the whole community and the outside world to see only the best of the best. There are also a whole lot of my own movies that were not judged to be of a high enough standard.

Ah, ok then Joe.

Thanks for the explanation.

Is there a description of what is considered a movie on your site? And if so I have probably missed it lol.
