And from what money? After collecting donations in their local town centers?

Maddox Games is/was a subsidiary company of 1C. And 1C has enough money to buy 777 Studios several times over if they wanted.

hmmmm .. <thinks> .. <stinks> ... <thinks and stinks together> ... Hows this for a business idea .. hireable robots / remote control vehicle / quad-chopper etc that someone in Oz can control, in Russia, to go visiting. You could peak through 1Cs windows, see if anyones there, who's working, who's dunking for apples in vodka vat. Talk to developers, vehicle would translate. etc etc. Put video on YouTube.

I'd pay a couple of $100 for that. Better that than us corrently being treated like mushrooms.

I ask because it seems strange to me that a company would agree to invest so heavily in what, at the time, must have been considered a failed title. Instead of using the existing map as the basis for the introduction of new content (FW 190/Spit 5/109 F, etc) - which should be relatively inexpensive to develop and implement I'd have thought, you would have to start again almost from scratch. Not only would that require much longer lead times, it would compromise the company's ability to put the necessary resources into fixing the game's underlying problems. So, why would you do it that way when, for a fraction of the cost, you could simply invest in some new content for the existing map? I just don't get it.
BOM=Battle of Mosscow???
Last I checked Mosscow is in Russia????
Why not European opperations??
After all this is supposed to be a sequal to Cliffs of Dover right???

We will only be able to change the maps when we get user tools to do so. these were supposed to have been released by now, but have been delayed. Hopefully we will see them around the time of release of the sequel.

I am thousands of miles away from Moscow office, or I would just go over, walk in, introduce myself and ask "whas up". LOL

Being global moderator doesn't mean I am priviledged to information from the developers or 1C. I volunteer to help with the forums only.

Sorry, I don't have the answer...in other words.
