In this mission I kept fine pitch all the way through. For take-off and climb-out, obviously. Then I did an Immelmann, where I think it was good to stay in fine too. You could then say that I should have gone into coarse when I tail the baddie, but I was actually quite happy with my closure rate. For the dogfighting I think fine pitch was appropriate again. I definitely should have gone into coarse when I high-tailed it back to the aerodrome, but somehow forgot about it. Honestly I also think it wouldn't have earned me many seconds. For landing I think fine pitch is best, if you need to gun the throttle and do a go-around.

I guess what I am saying in so many words is that I don't really see where in this mission I really really unquestionably ought to have gone into coarse pitch... If you see it otherwise can you tell me where?

Interesting topic, and I obviously could handle pitch better.
Yeah, I think there is just a matter of personal style I guess

I just realized that the video I have been watching is Spitfire vs Bf-109 over Folkestone...not Break, Break, Break...Its an older video obviously, but watch the CEM display (bottom left) after take-off.

Now I am going to watch Break, Break, Break because your videos are very entertaining and bring me back to COD...

Nice work.

Let's just say that my understanding of CEM was - ahem - somewhat lacking back when I did the Folkestone vid...

If you normally use TrackIR you should also be twitching your head around a lot while you watch, to force my views...
