In fact, the only sharp comment ever came from Chuck Yæger at an American AW con, but he always was a prickly sod.

I'll certainly never forget shooting down my squad CO of the time while Churchill's navigator, a fine and distinguished gent of ever 80 at the time yelling "strafe him! strafe him!" in my ear.

The vet's were very, very clear that it was just a game. There really is no need for pompous posturing on "honour" and the like.
Hi Seeker,

I remember those conventions very well and the veterans that came along and spoke to us.

The large size scenarios are what I really miss as I know you do. That part of the video with the massive bomber raid was very much like the one we took part in on Aces High with about 400 players and if it doesn't come across in the video I can tell anyone else that its a truly impressive sight seeing a formation like that coming your way even if it is only in a virtual world.

I have been hoping that CoD/SoW would be capable of supporting hundreds of players but if we can just achieve 128 that would make for a good encounter with 42 Heinkels/Ju88s, 48 Bf 109s and 48 Spitfires/Hurricanes. With scale effect of 8 aircraft per squadron that would be very effective.

ATAG have been getting close with up to 100 players since the patch so once the basics have been sorted out so no-one gets CTD'd it will be interesting to see how far we can go.

There's a new world waiting for some of you guys if we could just get there

And my wife? She patiently lets me go off to my room and play.... then calls up around 9pm that my tea is ready. I'm thinking of getting her a NAAFI overall
But then I do earn lots of brownie points around the house and I don't leave her to cut the grass ! Oh, and I don't have a flight suit or a cockpit........ well, not so far

Talking about AirWarrior, parachutes and strafing I really do miss downing enemy planes with my old 1911 .45 while hanging in the air after bailing out.

P.S.
...You registered, waited a month for the event and then your state of the art 9.600 modem tried to reconnect during the take off...
