Wow. The sim looks great.

I set buildings and building details to minimum - runs like a charm and looks just great (40 FPS over ground, 80+ FPS over the channel).

i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz
6 GB RAM @ 1800 MHz
GTX 485
WinVista 64bit

Running at full details (except building and building details) @ 1920x1200.

Lovely customization options. And I just love the Hurri!

Btw: My system uses 3.8 GB of RAM. CPU usage 90, 50, 20, 20.

I have no idea where the config file is and I am not to bothered where it is I will give you screenshots if someone gives me the in game command for FPS as the old one doesn't work. I am not going to sit here giving you guys proof because I want to go enjoy my new game, the only reason I posted was to let people know it works on my rig and these were my specs if you don't believe than don't cos I don't give a shit really, cos it plays fine to me.

I have high framerates, but no smooth gameplay!
*Tries to find the appropriate picture of invalid argument but doesn't bother*

There's lots of ways he can have a better experience, hardware is not they only factor.

I have average 60 fps over land but the micro-stutters are no good. Once the stutters are patched it should be fine.

Haha *invalid argument is invalid* That is like saying "Your car can't run better than mine because I use better fuel!" There are many factors that could be creating a difference between the way it runs on his system and yours. Everything from hardware to software of the PC can make these differences along with setting in game.

I find it very hard to believe that the OP can run the game flawlessly on high settings. I can run it on high setting, but still get the odd stutter and slow down.
I am running it on a system with an Intel i7 2600k@4.6GHz, Gigabyte P67A-UD7 motherboard, 8GB of 1600 Ram and 2xGTX580's (although no SLI on this game yet) - and a 256GB C300 SSD. It is something with the game that'snot quite right, not the system.

This is my first post here so please forgive me. It's not intended to be a whine but...

See my sig for what I'm running and I am pretty disappointed to have turn AA off and every thing down to Medium and still get only 25fps in free flight over England. More than that there is clearly stuttering going on that is unrelated to FPS. I am willing to give the developers some time to sort it out, but I'm disappointed when I had such fond memories of IL2.

I'll keep playing with settings to see if I can get an improvement, but I'd rather be learning to fly than fiddling with graphics options!

Last edited by Badhax; 03-31-2011 at 09:43 PM. Reason: adding sig
