Not so sure leggit is in the wrong here. From what I can discern most of the people having issues are people with the higher end systems, and I for one am not entirely convinced that they aren't enabling features that the devs have been on the record as saying aren't ready at release. We know some of them at least enabled dynamic weather, and when that feature was turned off improved their performance. We also know right now that SLI/CxFire is borked, and that those people using it initially turned it off and saw a performance improvement. I am not 100% convinced that that it is totally the devs short comings here. I think there may be an issue with big rig users over estimating their systems capabilities and underestimating the engines demands.

It's tempting to save a few of these posts for later and just before the first expansion rolls out slam a few on the screen when the time's right, saying something like... remember this post from _____ and this one from _____? Here, have a look at this one, now is this one classic or what!?!

heheehe ;^)

i cancelled my collectors edition preorder.
Not only do we have this damned filter which causes all kinds of problems. But also it seems that the game itself is not yet working properly.
I read a statement that the filter takes away about 10 fps... but in another post it was mentioned that if you put up more then 10 planes the fps in cockpit go down to about 1 fps !!! and that on a decent machine with modern quadcore and gtx 470....

it tells me this game still needs a lot of work and probably its a good idea to wait till the first two patches have come out and the filter problem is solved. Its for sure not only the filter, but more fundamental gameengine problems too. It reminds me of the time Il2 came out and noone could fly over Berlin...

By the way the conf.ini setting of the epi filter seems not to work yet... its a placebo as far my reading of forum test results went... hope they will implement that...think they should really get rid of UBIsoft ..they have always been terrible bastards and they get worse it seems....

I am simply not in the mood to fiddle with another halfcompleted game to make it barely run on my rig. And i have Crossfire and take it as a personal insult of Luthier and Ubi to devaluate my costly equipment.
What is most annoying though is that Luthier in his post wrote that they are trying to implement the reduction of epi causing graphics genuinely in the engine so that they have better frames and dont need the post filter anymore. But what does that mean ? It means they want to castrate the graphics even more profoundly... WW2 combat flight sim after all is about spinning props and flashes of lightning everywhere, isnt it ? And of course this exactlty can make epis have a fit...so if you want to cut this out you do cripple the game.... very stupid...very very stupid.
