I felt like crying. The demo has no character or feel of realism. The cars do not behave like real cars. There is no cockpit view, only a bumper view (the greatest drawback of NFS
Carbon as well). ... You can not see or hear the guns firing, it is as if you do not have any guns at all (the sound effects sucks big-time). The game seems like a bad arcade game on drugz, there is nothing authentic or lifelike about it.

I agree. I don't think the game is bad on it's own (around mediocre), but it's certainly no Death Track. The atmosphere is WAY too sunny and upbeat. The lack of customizability sucks bad. Only a primary and secondary weapon, plus caltrops OR mines and no ramming spikes = suck. Nitro sucks. The camera position sucks, Personally I prefer arcade racers to sims so I don't mind the car not handling like a real car, but the handling here, at least when trying to use keyboard for it, sucks (I like how the Burnout games steer, but having never played them with a keyboard, I can't compare). And frankly it just plays too damn fast. These should be more like fast tanks than sports cars. You're not going to be flying at 200 mp/h in a car armored to withstand missles. I don't even see other cars long enough to blow them up. They either zip past me or I zip past them. And WTF with all the powerups and jumps and stuff? Sure there's the "classic" mode option but there are still SOME powerups laying around.
Maybe I should download the source for one of the open source car racing engines and build my own PROPER sequel.
