Really,if dx11 is buggy in the sim right now I would rather not have it,that would just cause another thread full of complaints

Oh,and 4850 1GB. Plays RoF very nicely,so I think I will be alright.For now...
Having a dx11 capable gpu wont necessarily mean you could run dx11 games properly with it.I know the purpose of this poll so Im not going to participate, even though you can see my rig on my signature.DX11 is at its begginning, there are just a few games that use it and I 've played some of them. The amount of graphical"improvement" is nothing to justify the huge fps loss that you'll get.By the time dx11 gets implemented in the majority of games being released our ATI and Nvidia cards will be old and the new and more powerful ones are going to really demonstrate what dx11 will do.DX10 has a few years left, heck most mainstream games are DX9 and the majority look great.Show some respect to the developing team and stop crying because the game is not DX11.

Meh, the GPU won't matter all that much if you have a new(ish) videocard on a sim like this. Whats going to matter is CPU, and the faster the better. Multi-core will help, probably by offloading some stuff - hopefully AI - but not nearly as much as pure MHz speed.

All I'm concerned about is minimum framerate which will be impacted by the number of AI loaded into the map and the number of polys being pushed (low flying over those cities is going to be a frame killer be sure).

We'll probably see well over 60fps at altitude but down low will kill even the best system without being frugal with view distance. That means a lot of fights will be dragged low over cities once someone gets nervous, and we'll have to play with lower than ideal video options all the time just to make up for those situations. Good luck shooting down a decent pilot at 14fps.

Hopefully I'm overstating things and Oleg has managed to tweak performance enough to keep us over min 30fps on medium settings over cities on upper mid-range systems but don't be surprised when it doesn't run like a console game on your uber system come March.

Or at least prepare to settle for less than you're used to: low-res/highAA or native res/noAA.

Geforce 8600 GTS with 512 MB, but I will upgrade to a GTX 560 with 2GB or AMD 6950 with 2GB soon.

What is the purpose?

Let me tell you.

Heli said the majority of users already have DX11 cards.
I doubt it, therefore I started this poll.
However, I should also have asked if they use the DX11 card with W7/Vista.
It's a survey, not more, not less.

What kind of conspiracy was in your head?

To show that there are/will be far more people out there with DX 11 cards than expected.
