Do you think he "comes up with issues?" and why wouldnt we believe an unexpected error might be a problem?

LoL so funny how people who are Pro or Neg post directly to the development team like they read this or any other forum for that matter.

"Believe it...again?" Of course I would, and you would too if you understood how code changes and testing works. They change the code to fix a certain problem..... they test the code to see if the changes fixed the problem....the code change could have fixed the original problem but there is also good chance the code change could also cause a different problem.

I'm not sure why people get so upset when the specific reason for the patch delay changes, this is how it works until they have a patch build where everything tests OK, or the failures are insignificant enough to release the patch anyway.

Why wouldn't we?

Ask yourself

What good would it serve to lie and say they found a bug at the last min during testing.. When they actully didn't find a bug and the patch is ready for release.

I can not think of one good reason to lie about that..

Can you?

Bingo

It's more like they aren't even close to releasing the patch, but keep making us believe that they just found a bug that stopped them from releasing it, even though it could be another 6 months out and they just don't want to say that. I hope I'm wrong about that, but it could be the train of thought of why there is no explanation this time.
