Man you should put your specs in your sig, maybe one of us here can help you to start enjoying the game, while waiting for other improvement. It is really such a great great flight sim, even now... and just wait, its gonna be sick!

No need for that...the sim runs pretty smooth on my rig except for the ground micro stutter. Myself being on offline player, am waiting for all the other bug fixes that affect the single player experience. (IE: Working Radio commands...etc etc.)

I am mostly off-line as-well right now, been having a blast with it. I am well aware of the problems with the game, but am having an enjoyable 1/2 hour each day... I was forced down to a field, and came to rest near a farm house with a thatched roof and a windmill that was spinning around. Only saying that there is a tremendous amount of enjoyment to be had right NOW.

I have been having some sporatic fun as well. I recently have been messing around with the dynamic campaign generator that someone created. It has it's moments and once the game is patched up I hope someone explores this further. I don't have too much time for the FMB so I have to use what I can find.

I do appreciate your enthusiasm though! Mind if I ask if you are flying single missions, downloaded ones, or campaign?

I'm flying individual small missions that I created in fmb. Depending on my mood each day/mission is different for me, ground attack, air skirmish etc. I'm glad that you have not shelved it for now

It's logged some time on my shelf for sure. I don't know about you but I have rolled back to the last retail patch since it ran ok for me and there was some stuff bugged in the last beta. I still get particle slow downs though. Example: Watching planes take off, the dust they kick up brings the frames way down. I hope this is addressed in the next patch. Here are my specs:

Alienware X-58
Windows 7 home 64 bit
6 gig of 1600 mhz performance memory
Intel i7 920 @ 3.5ghz
Powercolor 6970 2gb video card with factory overclock

And with that I see that I need to update my statment to the following..

The only real mistake 1C makes in all this is when they assume the users of alpha/beta patches understand what alpha/beta patch means. In that based on the responses in this thread and others that is clearly not the case!

You are just guessing the devs are unskilled, there might be a plethora of reasons behind these array of successive failures. However, all paths should lead to the PM, he is directly responsible for the success or failure of a project.

He is responsible for assuring the project is scheduled, meets deadlines, quality levels etc, which clearly is not happening here. If he the devs are unproductive, then he is directly responsive for this too, as he is in charge of choosing who does what or, at least, should have a strong influence on the team's assemblage. If the team needs more motivation, employees, training or whatever, he should have taken care of that ages ago. Otherwise, I think we can assume the company is into some financial problems or treating this project as non-important and putting it aside with one or another fella working on it sparsely just to keep up appearances.
