i just hope that if there is again a change in SoW management, that they say on course and intend to release BoM next year, rather then completely change their plans again and require a major rework of what was created in the last 18 months for BoM. this constant reorganization can be very damaging and significantly increases the risk of no project being completed at all because of constantly shifting goals and objectives.

but this is luthiers day, let's not digress

and luthier, if it so happens you have more free time available, emm err, how about refocusing on the korean war era flightsim you were working on before i still have very fond memories of mig alley, both as a early jet flightsim, as well as the dynamic campaign system it used, and many of us here still hope a good modern flightsim of that era will be created

no kristorf, wrong call there

to have constantly the same mindless negative comments from the same few people here gets really boring and there is no need for it, neither does it achieve anything positive. its just petulant narcissistic self indulgent and attention seeking by some low EQ individuals

either people can provide some constructive feedback in a civilized way, or they should just bugger of and go somewhere else. do any of you really think that some of the SoW developers are reading these forums and seeing the trolling and mindless whining and then decide "o well, freddy seems so upset with all the bugs and problems, why not release to him the fully working flightsim we have sitting on the shelf here, instead of the buggy one they are using now" ? or do you think maybe luthier who was handed the project didnt want to fix the residual CoD problems ? lol, i'd like to see the IQ tests for anybody who claims to believe that he was only allowed a minimum amount of time to focus on CoD, and with the longer term survival of the series he had to make the hard decision to do a major rewrite of the whole gfx engine and thereby loose 12 months (which he was able to justify by simultaneously working on the next SoW release), so the money men could see some gravy at the end of the previous trail of losses.

it was a forced buggy released of a beta stage product, and nobody liked it, not them, not us. you really think whining and bitching changes any of that ? it wont ! now if you look at how well CoD runs 12 or 18 months later after the long awaited final patch, it runs pretty well (and would have been fine for most of us here as an initial 1e release in that form).

seen any other ww2 flightsim lately that comes anywhere close to CoD in its current state ? i dont think so !! and dont mention vague promises of XYZ products that in 5 or 10 years from now are going to be so wonderful they "will be better then anything SoW could ever be", because its just pie in the sky and meaningless. there is NOTHING right now that comes close, and NOTHING is in the pipeline anywhere either !

so what are YOU personally going to do to make it more likely we will ever get a decent fully featured next gen ww2 era flightsim ? if whining and trolling is all they can come up with, i say boot the lot of them out and get rid of them. the only thing that will help here is constructive engagement, not acting like a spoiled 2 year old and have a temper tantrum. freedom to participate in these developer run forums comes with some degree of personal responsibility, and by you or others making excuses (or not being able to comprehend) that all the meaningless negative crap they are constantly sprouting is actually damaging (which to them is a great joy, and hence identifies them as individuals who have not the right intentions for helping to create a good ww2 era flightsim), you personally are undermining the exact solution the rest of us are hoping for.

if any of you here make any honest claim to want to get a good next-gen ww2 era flightsim , what we need now is some major gamer websites doing new reviews of the patched CoD (with heinkill's new campaign for ex, or the desastersoft one if looking at single player), AND constructive feedback on the main residual bugs to be fixed during BoM development (eg AI behavior etc). anything other than that is just undermining what some of you pretend to care about

So people arn't allowed to criticize the all powerfull 1C/MG debarcle or the 'f%^k you' attitude that appeared from the Devs?

The game may run reasonably well now on upper mid/high end systems if you only want online play (and those servers that there are don't cater for squad based co-ops or are very poorly populated as a rule) but what of the offline content (or lack of)?
The main crux of this game is meant to be the channel map, but unless you can play with codes/scripts etc it can't be used online, personally I don't want to fly on some mickey mouse cross's and rounds map.
The squad I am in had high hopes to run campaign based co-ops but have gone back to 1946 (HSFX) because of its ease of use and adaptablity, something CLoD hasn't (and won't) have.
The dev's themselves said that co-ops on the channel map arn't going to be sorted and we will have to wait for a sequel (as yet pie in the sky) that might sort it. How many will shell out for that, once bitten and all that?

How many people paid good money for a product that required 18 months to even start up nearly every time (I still get CTD's) and how many of those same people have said 'sod it' to what was potentially a game changing formula and moved to other things?

Quite, and of course Krupi will now get banned for his name calling and personal attacks. That's if the moderators are impartial and adhere to the rules, and as a scrupulous and fair-minded bunch I'm sure they will.

As for Luthier, I don't know you but well done for doing your job.

I have been banned before for biting on the post of these ignorant fools before HOOD so they are doing the job but there are not banning the people that deserve to be only the ones that react to the crap they post.

So yeah complain and report me I don't really care anymore I am just fed up of the utter ignorance of these trolls!

I would take it as a kindness if you would put me on your ignore list. Do not quote me, do not participate in any threads I might create, and do not view any of my posts ever again.
