Dont forget guys, there are AI changes in this weeks patch and they may be more in the future. So with that in mind it maybe best to save your old missions to see what effect the new patch has had.

Anyone else seeing this?
I just lowered ADVANCED FLYING for all planes to 22 in an attempt to reduce the snap-roll behavior (uploaded v0.5).

Is it just the advanced flying that effects the f16 snap rolls?

What does tactics slider do does anyone know?

This week's patch - ahh that has such a nice ring to it.
I am new to this sim - but not to IL2 - and frankly have held off getting deeper into it yet as I decided to just wait for the patch first - so I have not had to wait quite as long as many of you - but I am really looking forward to it after reading about it here.

I hope all goes as planned for all of you and it is mostly what you all wanted. My big decision will be whether to try the beta, or just wait for the final to be pushed out via Steam as I do not have previous flying to compare it to.

It almost makes me more annoyed! Credible AI behaviour is (more or less) built into the game and yet it was shipped with the Star Wars behaviour and the Barrel roll behaviour, etc, etc, because someone on the development team couldn't be bothered to spend an afternoon going through the quick missions to modify the sliders or (even better) spell it all out in the documentation (what documentation, I hear you ask...! And I thought the manual was actually well-written and amusing!).

I dunno. It's almost like they were deliberately trying to mar or sabotage their own achievement.

[Personally, I love the game, the graphics, the "sensation of flight", but like so many, me and my 40-odd squad-mates have given up on it until the game runs better and the co-op missions BECOME DOABLE - and by "doable", I don't mean that someone with a PhD in Rocket Science can program in co-op behaviour with "Scripts" (= algebra or differential equations for all of us in Tangmere Pilots. We've got lawyers and estate agents and teachers, but no "hackerz" to help us out). We're all crossing our fingers for the patch, because WE ALL REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO FLY IN THE CLOD SKIES!]

PS. I'm not apologising for the capital letters. So there.

Funny you should say that, didn't they sack a member on the original team for pretty much that reason?

Ha ha yes, but I guess we will never hear what really went on there. If I were Luthier, I wouldn't tell. Professional courtesy and all that.

Thanks for these updated missions Von Pilsner. I recently reinstalled COD and they're making the offline playing much better. Still haven't been online, waiting to see if the patch sorts that out before venturing onto a server.

Cheers man

How do I get the individual .mis files without using JSGME? Any chance of just getting the files themselves in a .rar or zip?
