So because someone cheats justifys everyone else cheating? Blackout in the game 'simulates' real life save for the physical effects so it's there for a reason. Blackout narrows vision so to turn brightness all the way up takes this effect away visa vis cheating the spirit of the game. And I thought people here professed to playing with honour...

There is red-out, try nosing your aircraft steeply down!

Blackouts are a pain for me, and i tend to loose chasing plane on blackout. Specially after drinking few beers... Don't get me wrong. On my ps3 / TV system, i can hardly see tru blackout even if i put brigthness at maximum. I can't wipe the black out effect away as you think. I might post a video on you tube if you don't belive me.

I don't get red out in PS3.

I talk abour fair play, i won't cheat playing poker, i won't cheat playing ps3. I take distance from people who seeks "honor" behind a joypad. But that's off topic

But that's not the point. you are talking about real life, i'm talking about brightness settings. And you say cheating.

I don't feel like raising brightenss is cheating. It's a setting. Like elevator settigs. Like virtual cockpit on or off.

I hope this thread will not became a flame up i 've tried to be as more expicit as i could be lol but looks like i'm typing again the same thoughts expressed before.... i need to check my english up maybe eheh

p.s.: Since english is not my first language i've corrected your quoted text, that taken alone is very ambiguous . "But don't blame other for cheating if the don't fly with your settings" was the meaning

Rest assured my friend I'm not trying to 'flame' you at all. I'm trying to understand why people are doing and justifying this.

And we do get red out on PS3!! As I said climb up to a decent height then point the nose down and push forward hard, the red will start to encroach on the screen just as blackout does.

Well, if I may throw in my 2 cents, I wouldn't call this cheating, but cheeky.

I wouldn't adjust my tv so that I can see through the blackouts to gain an advantage. I accept blackouts as part of the game and wouldn't want to artificially avoid them. Most people probaby don't, so those who do can almost be sure that they have an advantage over everyone else.

Some inequalities cannot be avoided, such as what the quality and size of the tv is that people have, or the kind of joysticks they're using. But this is an inequality that can be avoided by the game from the start.

So, for the sequel, I fully agree with Robotic Pope that this issue should be addressed from the start. Blackouts should be blackouts, for everybody.

MAC

P.S.: What is a lag switch?

So here we go digging out the pliers and cords...

This strikes me as pretty desperate tactics. Can't say I have a huge issue with it but it's pretty desperate.
I prefer to leave my tv pic as it is and use the force

Thumbs up

ok so am a cheat thats really funny guys,i dont see why this is a big issue? no need for personal attacks, the settings i put out dos not make you a better player, it is for the benefit of the new players, new players come into lobbies get shot to bits so if it dont sit well with people fair enough, and i will take anybody up in the air to show, yes disagree or agree your choice,

LOL Vdomini,

Well that's another kind of Blackout Wonder what some may bring to this one - a set of windshield wipers?

Hope to fly with all you great guys again soon!

MAC

P.S.: By the way, I've just heard that those of you who had problems posting on the devs forum - it should be fixed now.
