We all learn something new every day. Don't worry, we'll make an 'ace' out of you yet - just keep an eye out for your '6'

Ugh! I'm really trying to enjoy playing this but I cannot until the AI is fixed. Back to 1946...damn.

Ok I went into the FMB and had a look at the AI planes in the mission I was flying.

There are different skill settings you can choose from Ace Veteran and a few others.

The mission I was flying Somthing over Dover cant remember the exact name.

The skill leval was set to different which isnt even a option in the drop down box when you click on it.

I changed it to veteren and saved it.

The AI dosnt fly so crazy in that mission now but it does evade and attack still.

My point is you can change the way AI flies in the missions if you dont like the crazy way the default settings are.

And if you want to mess with the quick combat missions all you have to do is copy and paste them into the folder with the single missions .

That way you can set your loadouts and adjust settings in them missions in the FMB.

Are you suggesting that modifying the AI level will make them abide by the laws of physics? I don't think so...

The AI sucks. Completely crazy barrel rolls have driven me back to 1946.

Exactly ... I highly doubt there is an AI function that says "DO/DO NOT FOLLOW LAWS OF PHYSICS". I'm sure the AI still cheats on other difficulties but it's not as obvious.

I flew a 109 v spit dogfight last night. I bagged one spit and spent the next 5 mins dogging E/A locking onto one and managed to stick with him. The next few mins I emptied my guns into him only taking good shots from 4 to 7 o'clock. He just kept up his defencive maneuvers. He was leaking oil, the fuselage was peppered with holes and the wings had large holes in them right where control linkages would be.

Some one suggested it may take time for AC to go down so I followed for another 15min. I then jumped into his body and looked through his eyes and found he was badly wounded. The screen was so red you could only just make out the instrument panel. there is no way I could have evaded an enemy AC in that condition.

Sorry don't care what some may say the AI and damage model is flawed.

Said the 12 year old whose mommy and daddy meant to get him an X-Box, but were talked out of it by a salesman who can spot suckers with a spoilt brat of a child a mile away

You may have the fastest, bestest PC mommy could afford, but its plain that it is wasted on a fool like you, maybe when you grow up and realise that you can't have everything your way, you might learn how to actually achieve your aims.

Its not the aircraft, but the pilot......... a bad workman blames his tools.

I flew an offline Spit vs 110 mis. Gotta say, did think the 110 was a little Uber. There is so much of the original IL2 in this sim, which I had hoped would be improved upon. High alt is another area. Nevermind, heres hoping all will be good.

I dont think you have even played this game on your 3rd world PC. Please leave the discussion to those that can actually play the game. Maybe you were talking about 1946?

Have you even played this game?? I have watched Bf-109's roll inverted and change direction 180 degrees in under half a second! My aim?? No one can aim at that lol! If you decide to follow any of the AI planes on one of their rolling dives that would stall any human players plane you can fly straight down with them and never catch up even at full throttle.

I have been playing combat flight sims probably since before you were born, I can assure you there is nothing wrong with my aim. The best part is that after the AI does its twitchy, rolling, diving garbage and gets a certain distance from your aircraft they fly on like you were never there until you get within a certain distance again... A complete joke.

Wow Formula88, you are a truly offensive human being.
The fact you get off telling people (who do not share you views) what you've said
above is simply unacceptable. Regardless of whether the AI is flawed or not, the
way you try to big up yourself speaks volumes... It is a certainty that any person
out of their early twenties would not speak in your manner or tone... Unless
they were brought up in a trailer. So are you a young damaged boy Formula88
or where you brought up in a trailer?

There are a few human truths you learn as you get older, let me share three with you.

- If someone tells you that they have a good sense of humour... They don't.

- If a girl tells you that she's great in bed, that's because no guy has ever been honest with her.

- And if some mouthy little snot rag has to tell everyone that he's a great shooter... He isn't.

So feel free to insult my computer specs or have a go at my honest criticism.
Please show me that everything I've said has totally gone above your head.
It's what everyone expects from you, so go on... Prove them right.
