Did you try 560 * 420, Raaaid? Might be easier on the eyes...

Presumably you're not running the new Beta patch - that might help a little too.

A clue as to why Raaaid is struggling:

NVidia 8500 GT 43 GFLOPs
NVidia 8800 GT 504 GFLOPs
NVidia 570 GTX 1405.4 GFLOPs

Figures from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...ocessing_Units. There are other factors affecting performance too, of course...

i tried 560*420 but for some reason my gpu cant render that while it can 400*300

also im running beta patch

if i manage to reduce distance at which buildings pop up i could fully run this game online with this rig

maybe you could squint while you fly over land?
or blink constantly so you can't tell if it's the frame rate or the blinking?
or maybe they could put an option to turn off buildings, trees and your sense of the ridiculous ?
hey if you shoot me down online while playing like that your a better virtual pilot than I am !

Now, that would be ironic. The rest of us are selling (or renting) body parts to upgrade our PCs, and to have Raaaid on our six in his badly-rendered G50 (or whatever), shooting square bullets and stuttering along at 5 fps would be most embarrassing.

This thread is the most entertaining one on the forum, by far.

ROFL!

Just a thought. Have you tried it in windowed mode? This might just pay off in low resolutions, though you may need to sit rather close to the screen (and at 250 * 150 you'll probably have your nose against the monitor )

nono i do a trick so is full screen

if you set 400*300 in the conf.ini you need to have a custom desktop resolution of 400*300 as well

on this way you can have any resolution you want at full screen

Interesting. Which OS are you using? I can't select a resolution that low in XP (not that I'd want to...)

have you tried say 640 * 480 or 800 * 600? These are much more likely to be supported as standard resolutions. You could try 16-bit colour too. I'm sure this will never work properly, but we may as well see how far you can push it.
