Some of your .ini settings don't match up with example config.ini files I have seen for later Nvidia cards (e.g. I had problems with Effects=2) . These may not be responsible for your probs but pretty sure you will get pointers in that respect.
I hadn't a clue that incorrect 'Sound' settings could cause 'stutters'. I have disabled Hardware Acceleration for the time being and will watch this thread with much interest and see what else can cause the dreaded 'stuts'! |

I really see no big issues in your conf.ini, except maybe the processor core setting.

Set IL2 1946 only to run on a single core.

Hi Keben!
Once I have reed somewehre, that in Nvidea control panel you have to set the global settings as same as your aplicative settings(il2 1946 in case). I have done that, and didn´t tested it, and for some motive have lefted the game and forgoten what I have done!!! This was the begining of a lot of stutters, it was very sad that everyone were playing just fine in windows 7 without trouble, ecept me. Frustated with my rig and my settings `til I have found wath I have done it was just to reset the global settings in Nvidea control panel to the game to run smooth ( have put there AA end AF as same as in the aplicative)!!! With IL-2 and NV, turn OFF Threaded Optimization and CUDA as it does not get boost of them. Also in BIOS turn off HPET(High Precision Event Timer) as it causes latency spikes on some systems. Cures some of the stuttering. |

I never had freezes for a very long time.
Now with 410 something has changed to the worse in this particular matter.
