Does switching off bots voices completely helps (unchecking the checkbox) ? Game restart is needed for settings to take effect.

Did yo try:
- defraging game directory
- reinstalling and updating .net, directx, sound drivers (or motherboard drivers as well for onboard especially). .net had an update 1 in april or march I think.
- changing process priority (try lowering it too)
- killing conflicting processes with gamebooster
- reinstalling software package that came with soundcard, updating it to latest version.
- overclocking processor or vice versa setting it to default clocks

Audigy 2zs runs fine with SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0017 drivers (64bit compatible). All Creative software updated. Game defragged. Most of processes unloaded. All additional sound sources switched off in Win7 settings. Sound set at 16 bit, 48kHz. No exclusive mode allowed. Additional processing switched off.
No sound issues so far.

Just had my first audio cut out whilst playing off-line The sound stuttered for a while before disappearing for about a minute, coincidently when enemy fighters were coming into view. After roughly a minute the sound stuttered back in and continued to work for the rest of the mission. Strange.

Both myself and a friend had frequent sounds disappearance playing multiplayer yesterday (the first we played again since the last patch), trying various maps and missions, including some dogfight missions that have no additional scripting (but AI spawning). I'm using a Creative Fatal1ty usb headset, he was using onboard audio. Hard drive defragged by OO, .net updated, headset drivers too, no OC, no conflicting process (got them down to minimum really) and it's still happening - quite frustrating, we decided to shelve CoD and go back to RoF and UP 3 RC for a while until it's sorted out...

I never had the sound bug (not that I will complain about unfair treatment...) but I am wondering.

I am flying Window mode 3072x1024 (my desktop is 3840x1280).

Does anybody flying window mode experience the sound bug?

Check your power management settings. Go to advanced settings and check that you have NO powersaving options ON.

I use Gamebooster which has an option to set Gaming PowerPlan that disables any powersaving.

I have heard that someone experienced a screensaver pop up while CoD was running. It might be the same with powersaving options switching on. And guess it would be hard for a PC to handle this sim if hardware is underpowered.

ps. Make sure you run 550W+ PSUs at least or greater depending on your videocard power consumption.

Try setting game sound to "ambisonic uncoded". Someone reported this solved the issue for Realtek onboard sound.

I did and tested for 1 hour and seems that it is working. Thank you, S!

I experienced a very strange thing. There is not a sound issue (couple of days), since the forest graphic settings is low (!). I did not give a thought to this, would not write here, but my mate wrote the same one punctually today. Is worth a test...

Turning off forest also helps according to posts at sukhoi.

upd. Everyone in this thread runs x64 Win7 or Vista. Make sure you install updated x64 drivers for your sound card from sound chip manufacturer. I had a hard time finding compatible sound drivers for my old Audigy 2zs (mentioned above).

And I run with multithreading off in BIOS btw. Try limiting No. of cores maybe to just 4.
