one more thing: as my post was deleted as well as carguy's, just wanna add in what my insult was as others might read what this post quotes, and imagination is often worse than reality when speculating about negative things.

i called carguy 'scumbag'. there. again i'm not proud of it, but i also do not have a negative posting history on my back, and of that i (according to its importance) am; hatchet is buried.

and Sammi79 please think before using plural on word 'insults' because it just gave a completely different portrait of reality...

Nice to see positive posts. COD has passed one important milestone, that of being released instead of cancelled. The next milestone at least as important, is weathering the unfinished tag with enough sales and support to continue development. Luthiers last post is very encouraging, with the stated strong sales the development is on solid ground. It appears all the negative hand wringing hasn't hurt sales enough to kill it. Its going to take some time, but now its up to the developers to do their part and finish COD.

I have this feeling this game will be great.

Sometimes you have to fail big time before success is seeded.

I mean humankind got kicked out of paradise for disobeying God, but several millennia later God comes in and redeems the whole sorry lot we are. now we're supposed to be a merry lot

World war 2 for US was epic fail, Pearl Harbor, losing the Philippines etc . ..
but US played a key role for pwnage required for VE and VJ day

Doctors said to Andrea Bocelli's Mom after treating her and finding out her son would be born a defect, said to abort him in the womb. But she bore him and the guy's a gift to music.

This guy named Walt, ran into bankruptcy and failed as a actor. his last name? Disney.

The origins of Christianity were thought to be over, when their leader died upon the cross and his disciples scattered. But 2000 years later, Jesus's followers comprise the largest religion in the world and the Bible is the best selling book, all without serious marketing / advertising.

This man, his music teacher "as a composer he is hopeless", but his last name is Beethoven.

Finest hour's leader, Churchill epic failed the 6th grade

An actor was told he'd never make it in the business. After playing Han Solo, it's safe to say he's "made it".

Teachers said he wouldn't amount to much, but Einstein broke that mold.

Michael Jordan was cut from highschool basketball team and he cried at home. Good thing he didn't give up.

This blonde was told she was unattractive and sucked as an actress, but Marilyn Monroe didn't see it that way.

Stephen King was rejected 30 times before he got accepted and his wife had to find his submission after he trashed it . ..

Well I guess I touched a nerve. Excuse me for pointing out the rather blatant hypocrisy of your attack on carguy. No you don't have a history of negative posting, though I fail to see why anyone should be proud for simply being able to behave. Well done you! just try to keep it up in future. I used plural for 'insults' as there are many of them flying about this forum. If you read my post again you will see it makes pefect grammatical sense.

so your looking for a pat on the back for a concise perfect grammatical post? or a cookie?

This SIM has Allot of potential, just like when ROF came out, it was a stink bomb. Given the business model of companies to make money, they have to put it out and fix it later. Just facts about running a business. Soon I suspect we will see a good patch that address alott of issues. What I would like to see Luthier post, is a change log of what to expect.

Mmm... no I was correcting Jatta Raso on his mis-interpretation of my previous post, as he questioned the grammar i.e ' think about using plural etc...' I was compelled to explain. I guess I shouldn't have bothered but like many here I am becoming agitated at some folks lack of manners. So I apologise for letting my agitation get the better of me.

I would like that as well, I'm sure once the team can be certain of exactly what is going to be fixed/altered in the patch they will let us know.

I am tired of this "it is awesome, 5 of 5, but this doesn't work, and that, and that and this over there, but hey it has the potential, to be a diamond".... Yes coal has also potential to be diamond...

Man, does it mean that awful sounds are there just to show us how big potential is "out there"? Are you saying that user unfriendly and ugly UI is there again for the same reason? What about FM? Is the bugs there also just to show the customers, how it should be perfect, if it would work?

It is just like a edit: messy car, you can start it up, after couple of hours messing around to just run few meters and kaboom, some strange noise over here and there, everything shaking, brakes are not working, transmission is tough - you know for real men only, ABS is not there at all, even producers said so, not talking about such feature like power steering... Producer is only saying we are working on it, but after couple of repairs it is still not working as it should, but still some other same damaged people says - oh, but look what a potential it has - it will be Bugatti Veyron in couple of months. Man, there is potential we will have working ABS like it is standardized in other cars too... We have to wait couple of months for power steering repair, but hey, it is still fun to drive in it...

Why that "mysterious" potential was not fulfilled on 1st release or US release? Maybe truth is that such car has NO potential.
