gentlemen, IL2 flyers, moderators...

i will 'not' be baited or drawn into answering the flame fest starting here. we've seen that route before and it gets no one, no where.

but if i must be hounded and attacked, then so be it. by all means go for it.

i had assumed that this was a neutral place where "everyone" was free to come and post good things about their work, mods, and sites with no worry of flames, slander, attack or ill will. and i still think that is so.

so i would ask the kind moderators of this site to (when they have time) please clean up this ugly mess so i can once again continue my updates in peace.

thank you all,

Beo

this project is perhaps the first jet powered seaplane in IL2 history...lol. built pretty well as an experiment work just to find out if it could be done, it handles remarkedly well both on sea and in air.

the two captured German jets are underpowered for it, but i left them like that as i figured 'if such an aircraft had been built'... it 'would' have been woefully underpowered at that early time.

still, performance is quite good though naturally slow.

it is availabe at the FM site.

here's another shot of it:

there's been a major update for the F8 Corsair series at the Free Modding site so if you like that plane you might check into it. has NEW 3D, many fixes and improvements, overall better plane. still a Work In Progress but definitely getting better.

congrats to pulloutaneye... the winner of our (IL2 FreeModding) special Christmas site topper logo contest!

over the coming weeks and before Christmas we'll be posting up a "special" mod plane in 'his' honor and donated to the IL2 community.

gee... i hope those French F8's can't catch up to ole Santa's hypersonic sleigh!

the larger topper looks way better at our site: http://freeil2modding.free-forum.net/index.php

thank you, pulloutaneye!
