Checked out things both at the EB shop and the website. Nada. Nil. Zero. Even if they do stock it , the standard box set will be priced at something like $109 AUD. I like Finland even more now, snow, vodka and Collectors Boxed sets! Kippis.

double bugga...

" Thanks for contacting us!

With regards to IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover, I have just spoken with our Buying department and they have advised me that this game will be available to preorder as of tomorrow. We don’t as of yet have a confirmed release date for it, or whether there will be a collectors, but according to them it is definitely being released in Australia at least as a standard edition.

Thanks for your enquiry, we look forward to hearing from you soon.
"

is the wording of the email (received yesterday pm) response... oh, well - see what happens Monday, this little black duck will

Got an e-mail from Webbhallen.com today saying my order for the collectors edition will not be available on release in Sweden.

They offered me a 6 euros discount if a changed my order to the standard dvd.

So, no collectors edition (so far)

I´v been told the same by a fellow squad mate.
Thats very sad.

Should we order it from the UK instead then? I guess they will get the CE version at least?

I wouldnt bet on it at this point.

Seems very unclear as to witch sites get the CE and when (for preorder)

All we can do is wait.

My pre-order from "Webhallen.se"(a swedish web-store) was just cancelled saying:
-"Tyvärr har vi fått information från vår leverantör att denna
utgåva inte kommer vara tillgänglig"

which translates to:
-"Unfortunately have we received information from our supplier that this
edition not will be available"

Their homepage now states
"OBS! Utvecklas ej längre!"
Which translates to:
"N.B [Is_being]Developed no longer!"

I can just start feeling the kettle of rage, versus UBI-Soft, starting to boil...

I told Webhallen to take their Judas-money and piss off... and that I would
spend spend the €6 on postage having IL2:COD-CE sent from UK instead.

So... Just:
1: Find trustworthy that lives in UK, (join a squad or whatever).
2: Have them order the collectors edtition for you.
3: Flip UBI-Soft a mental bird as you pick up the collectors edition from the post-office.
4: And for future-reference, avoid anything which has the "UBI Soft" brand.

Default US DVD websites only so far....

Hello all, I just wanted to post some information that I found on the web for our favorite sim pastime.

Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/2-Sturmovik-Cl...8654700&sr=8-1

Gogamer.com
http://www.gogamer.com/IL-2-Sturmovi...VVviewprod.htm

The Amazon site has no picture and it has the release date of April 19th 2011.
(needs an update to help boost sales!)

Gogamer has March 25th 2011

IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs Dover PC
Ship when available
Preorder: AvailableMar 25, 2011
$42.90 You Save: $7.09 (14%) $42.90

Items Subtotal: $42.90
Estimated Shipping: $2.99
Estimated Total: $45.89

The above site only took two days on my 1946 DVD with the minimal shipping. Some ol friends got theirs in one day from California. The main stores I think were a week or two later. Pacific fighter was about the same as well.

To my Canadien simmers. I do not believe they ship to Canada. This of course was the policy when 1946 came out..

If I can find my old reciept with the main phone number, I'll ask if they still are in the business of getting International games (I) . I am confused about the whole issue of who's getting the collectors edition, however, if it is a limited release mabey they could get that as well. This was the case with purchases from Just Flight (England). I hope this is not violating some forum rule but it would be nice if it all was a little less merky. (Marketing)
