anybody got a solid lead on a reputable english-speaking seller who can ship a hard copy to australia for a reasonable price?

P.S. - what a joke that we have to do so much work just to figure out where to buy the bloody product!
I guess the Fins do speak English.
Still unsure? Drop them a line and see if they reply.

Same here, torn between options to get CoD in Australia. I saw the boostep pre-order and I'm still not sure about it, it sounds a little bit fishy

So is there some sort of official word that the Collector's Edition will be available to US?

RE: using boostep.com

I'm not worried, weather using VISA or PayPal you can always get your money back. If using a Credit Card always ring the bank who issued the card and lodge a dispute, you'll get your money ... its the law

If it's any reassurance, when I emailed boostep.com I had a reply back on both occasions within 24 hours. The sales department speak very good English and took the time to answer the questions I had asked. Which is more than Ubisoft ever did! I am still waiting, haha, for a reply to my email of several weeks ago asking about the availability of box sets for Australia! Had to call them to get that answer.
And now the stores are getting annoyed because they are still selling copies of IL 2 1946 off the shelves, and they would very much like to have Cliffs Of Dover in stock. I even saw a young kid in a hobby shop buying a model kit of, guess what....., a Spitfire.
Ubisoft have their heads in the sand, which just makes it easier to kick them in the @#*! This is such good therapy.

Steam is a store, and actually takes a higher % of price than retail stores.

So, no more money does not automatically go to the developpers in that case.

When steam acts as both publisher/retailers, they sometimes take 85% of price leaving peanuts to the dev.

They also have an Australian page for the website , so no translation problems there. The Collectors set, including postage is only a few dollars more than the Australian download price! And Gonk, they take Paypal. The address of this wonderful website is boostep.com. Are they any good? Have no idea, but worth a look.
Thanks for the info, think I will buy mine there also. Download is NZ$100 in NZ, so only works out about $20 more for collectors edition.

And what case is this? Do you have documented cases? So far I have more confidence in Steam being more beneficial for 1C:Maddox than a game sold off the shelf.

JAMF,

Vev knows of what he says.

Really he does.
