Mail strike in UK? FFS!

The game has representations of Britains Finest Hours and nowadays you can't get a friggin letter delivered. Striking in the middle of the worst economic crisis since the great depression...Postman Pat you are a c**t!

Ugh, really?

My copy was shipped by GAME on Wednesday, which means I was expecting it on Monday. But if there's a strike on, that might not happen…

Now it's going to be even more hellish looking at all the (German) copies of the game on the shelves here.

(Hmm, maybe I'll just pick up a German PS3 copy while waiting for my Xbox 360 game to arrive…)

I'm from the U.S. and ordered it from our Amazon which came with the 2 extra planes also.

I can wait, but any information would be great.

Royal Mail are always on strike, they see it as a free holiday.

Its quite insulting to people that they are striking when there is alot of people who can't get any jobs.

Royal Mail can get to f***.

I'm never using play.com again.

Every game I have ever ordered from them has turned up a day before release. This is of course apart from IL2 due to a postal strike and once before also due to a postal strike! They are usually very good and this wiould appear to not be their fault.

Believe it or not, I don't work for them. I just wouldn't want you to be put off what is usually a first class service.

Right..

Since my order from play.com (uk) is on status 'Packing' for two days now i decided to get the ps3 version, play that for some time. Once the 360 version from play would arrive i would just wrap the ps3 version in a nice paper and give that to a friend. He isn't much of a console gamer, but does own a ps3 and is really into WWII history. Esp the russian side of things. Great plan isn't it?

No shop in Amsterdam even heard of BoP. Some of the better ones suggested i really meant il2 1946. At most of them i just ended up staring at the face of some youngster with a question mark painted over his face. While texting all of this to a friend he suggested a place on the edge of town. They often have the lesser known titles. And sure, it was listed on the website!! Spend about an hour in dutch public transport, not fun. And indeed, they heard about BoP!!! Sadly it didn't came in today. When it would arrive... they had no clue.. *sigh* Spend another hour back in public transport empty handed.

Not wanting to do a 'Dennis' here, but i fear the sales for BoP in the netherlands won't be that high =( It's really impossible to get here it seems. Been roaming the intern3tz for some time and only a handfull of independent shops sell it in the netherlands. Shame really.
