nice work Gozr...

what is really need though is for the bits and pieces to be working properly first - such as selectable weathering and loadout to be active in the QMB, for the Loadout section to be working properly... ie select Default or any Custom built belts/ gun assign and have that reflected in the gun assignment box, same for fuel (I haven't looked at bombs yet, but I assume there is grief there too)

Even duct tape can't fix stupid... but it can muffle the sound.

Default Sound problem

I have the sound problem with a Creative X-Fi.

All my squadmates have the same problem, most use on-board sound.

The only common factor is, I think, we all use Win7 64 bit. But that doesn't mean it's related to the problem, of course.

Intel Q9550 at stock speed
Asus P5KC mobo
6 GB RAM
XFX AMD 6950 2GB flashed to a 6970, underclocked back to 6950 speeds
Win7 Pro 64 bit
Creative X-Fi with community 64 bit driver (ugh, Creative)

Sound problem in MP here as well. It arrives after an unpredictable amount of time (from 1 h to 15 minutes). A lot of people online report the same issue.
I have an onboard Realtek audio (mobo Gigabyte Z68x-UD4), win 7 64. I have unchecked the sound/advanced/exclusive thing, and also changed SoundEngine from 1 to 2 in the conf.ini, to no avail.
Symptoms are always the same:
Sound begins to stutter, without any apparent repetitive pattern, stays broken for several seconds to a minute, then disappears. Sometimes it comes back after 10-15’, always preceded by the usual sound stutter, then usually it ceases again. Sometimes the engine sounds come back, but the gun sounds not.
Very annoying!

Cheers,
Insuber

Win7-64 Ultimate, Sound: 24 Bit, 96000 Hz,
Creative SB X-Fi, driver 6.0.1.1348, Creative ALchemy, release 1.41.02, EAX activated,
Ingame CloD: Surround

No stutter, no problems ...

But I wonder if the actual CloD version ( 14588 ) really supports EAX

Varrattu - Your post wasn't quite clear enough, can you confirm that you get no sound problems in online games? We've the same sound card, so obviously I'm very interested.

P.S. My understanding was that CloD doesn't use EAX. Oleg was very keen on ambisonic through headphones, I think.

I'm sure they are, but it won't be on your rig, and it wont be this year. You did notice that the game engine is MASSIVELY more complex graphically AND in complexity??? You're not in IL2 1946 anymore Dorothy..

for me unfortunately the stutters increased much since the last official patch.
with the beta patch i could fly over london almost smooth and only minor stutters.now the screen freezes for 5-10seconds(and not only once).its unplayable again.luthiers suggestion,to set buildings detail to high or lower doesnt help either.
i have squares of green and brown all over the map.fps dropped from average 50 to 40 over land.if i want to quit a mission and hit escape,i will see windows desktop(i have to push it about 30times until i see the clod interface again).and all that after a fresh install of the game and with the latest drivers and steam cloud on as suggested by luthier.im pissed
