Default What controls do you guys play with?

I used to play Airwarrior 4 Windows (Airwarrior Classic) back in 1998. I was a huge fan of that game - and I used to play with a CH Gamestick 14 gameport controller and CH Rudder pedals.

I tried this game with the Xbox 360 gamepad, and I really hated the controls. They were just bad - probably because I'm so used to stick and throttle setups.

So, I bought a Saitek Aviator stick for this game. The stick is terrible. It's got a huge deadzone, and trying to fly and line up a target seems WAY too jerky than it should be. Am I the only one with this problem?

I tried the zip-tie mod, it made the stick looser in the huge deadzone, but I still can't manage precise control. It also seems to pull to the left when left in a neutral position. If that wasn't the least of it - the stick just doesn't seem to have enough range of motion. When I push the stick left or right, the plane doesn't seem to roll fast enough.

Bad controls really ruin the game - but this saitek is so bad, I might go back to the game pad

What are you guys using?
