I was pretty psyched about the shirt, awesome design and all...that is until I found out they only had L or XL sizes!

Word of advice, marketing a product works better when people ACTUALLY can wear the marketing materials!

Yes, sure. All the contents which are inside we have payed. So please give them to us. But another thing is the future. I will pay for good add ons like missions, planes etc.

You got to use the aircraft exclusively for a few weeks maybe.

Remember the game is on sale in 20 or so countries and in hundreds of retailers but that offer was only valid in one country and shop.

I try out the piano I just cant belive we have zero feedback on the p-47 except it flys like a piano!

It is weird that it is listed as a main plane on the game site but there is no mention of it in the game. And even in the sticky full plane list it is not mentioned. And the TA is mentioned but it is not on the main game site. Weird.
I sent admin a question regarding why it is on the game site but no mention of us having it. If they tell me before they post here then I will post their response.

Here is my take on it.

1st: It is one of my favorite WWII planes. It is 2nd to the P-40 for me.

XBox 330: The P-47 is what it is. It does best as a dive bomber. It drops like a rock, but be sure to give yourself time to pull out of the dive or you will crash it. It is pretty fast. I have flown it near 400 mph in WEP. Doesn't turn very tight, so for dog fighting, it isn't the best. If you are dog fighting, leave the bombs at home, or jettison them, it will do better. I do best dog fighting with a hit and run approach with it. Dive on someone, hit them, and run like hell out of there while climbing back to altitude before you turn around for another hit.

It's a fun plane to fly, and one of my favorites, altho not really a match for some of the more nimble fighters. I also love the D-Day paint theme. It has always been my favorite livery.

Being retired from the software industry, I will agree with you for the most part, and in most cases. With the exception of the pre-order "con". You are correct with bad code coming out because of crazy deadlines, and rush to get things to market in a certain time-line. That is everything. Especially software. I managed a ROM development lab for a major computer manufacture, as well as a system engineer (3rd level support) for IT in a major business solution software company. So, yep, we worked with crazy deadlines and sometimes were forced by marketing to put out broken code with the quote "just get it out, we will fix it later...". That is very mainstream.

Anyway.. that is NOT the reason for pre-order perks. Pre-order perks is simply to entice people to get the orders committed before the product is released. A software company would love nothing more than to sell all their product out, before the release date. That way, they will know up front if the release will be successful and makes the forecasters jobs much easier. If they can know how the product sells before it is released, then when it does release, they can quickly move on to other projects and simply not worry about how a product will do on the market. They will already have much of their numbers, so the pressure is off... Any sales that comes after is simply gravy.

Now if games actually game working as intended right out of the box then the pre-ordering buisness would be a sound one. But they never do, no software does. Every code has bugs that need fixing, and they slip through due to the tight deadlines, lack off funding, low level QA, and so on.

In IL2's case, it pretty much does work out of the box with no crashes and no major gamebreaking bugs. There are a few issues, but its really just tweaking rather than huge bug squashing that most titles seem to need these days. So it would have been a sound move in this game case to pre-order.

This is just my view though.
