Not restarting after quiting from passing through clouds, would stop after a while even on heater while flying through.

Innacuracy of the bomb sight, anyone has noticed ? Trying to find the right setting for speed.

Like I said before, the clouds are bugged with severe icing, even if the ambient temperature is above that at which cloud icing should form.
This damages the engines and you can't re-start them, you need to fly around the clouds until the bug is fixed.

For the bomb sight, look at the the end of your manual, which you can find in the [Drive]:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\manual, folder.
On page 111 there is a imperial conversion table to help you convert your indicated airspeed (IAS) to true airspeed (TAS), which you need to enter into the bombsite. For example, if your flying at 6000ft, and your IAS is 250, your TAS will be 273, so you enter that into the bombsite.

Hi,

I have corrected from IAS to TAS, however the best aiming is obtained with a speed close from IAS entered on the system.
When using TAS, it was much before the target. Using IAS, approximately on the target.
For example, at 10'000 ft 210 IAS (that is boost 4), setting TAS 240/250, far before the target, set TAS 210, close from the target.

Turns out the best setting I've found is aircraft at 200 IAS, 200 entered at the TAS dial. Up t 10 kft looks good, above that, very dofficult to see the targets coming in anyway, another type of difficulty.

I may be wrong but weren't the Blennie engines started by ground crew and impossible to restart in the air in real life?

For conversion of IAS etc, if you have a smartphone try looking for a free app called 'Drop The Bomb' that will also give the correct bombsight angle if you prefer to level drop manually

In Blenheim bombing procedure is only in manual mode.
The correctly angle is adjusted by Wimperis bombsight, based in TAS and ALTITUDE inputs
The only data you need convert is IAS >TAS

If one dont have a Smartphone and since Wimperis accept speed imputs only in 10 to 10 increments, a hand calculator is sufficient to convert IAS in TAS. Add 2% of IAS for each 1000 feets of ALTITUDE.

Probable yes, but in game:

Shutt down engines turnig off fuel and/or magnets:
If the engine dont go cold just with "windmill" of propellers engines start again after turn fuel an magnets on. Dive a bit to help.

Flying throug clouds, if you close radiators ~60 % and turn on "Carburetor heat" engines dont kill.

If you dont do this and engines kill and go cold, select one engine and press "I" dont help - probable due absence of ground crew.

But if you have spare altitude try this:

Put throttle in ~5%, close radiators, turn on "Carburetor heat" and dive.
With luck propeller "windmill" turn engines on.

In my attemps I get one engine ON - at very low altitude.

Need await warmup until move throttle, leave radiators close, "Carburetor heat" on and watch temps.

After get some speed and altitude, I am able to repeat the precedure and start the another engine.
