You should advertise that Mr.X won't be there. Then people will come.

A few great missions tonight. Big thanks to the following pilots!

StiC from No.401 Squadron
Bounder! from No.64 Squadron
Strings from 92nd Squadron
Another 92nd pilot who I've misplaced his name
Steppie from RAAF
Salmo
Catseye from 71st AH Squadron

Recap on performance: The server reset during our first sortie but I don't think that was crash related. I think it was just the time it was to reset.

We had one crash, but it was a complete system crash and possibly not related to CloD (just general computer blech). We also had one system freeze. Neither of these events seemed to be 'launcher.exe has stopped working'.

All other pilots seemed to have successful flights on more than one lengthy flight. Personally, I was in the game from 9:00pm to 12:00am with no crash and multiple sorties with large engagements, some of more than 20 aircraft.

Pings of some of the Aussies were high (400s) but not too much warping or lag reported. A little, but it seemed playable for everyone.

I highly encourage more people to come out to these things! I'm sure every pilot who flew in the event tonight would say that it would have been even better with a full wing of 12 aircraft in formation. Nothing about performance of the game suggested that it would cause any issues. So come and join us next time!

We'll do this again next Tuesday!

Cool. You should do that more often. I would love to catch a big wing on the ground and unload a belly full of bombs on their heads. .mrgreen:.

This reminds me of playing aces high, some years back. I caught a 12 plane mission at the end of the runway with a single 500kg bomb from my A8. good times.

You're more than welcome to try!

I highly recommend participating in the scripted missions, however. They offer a great historically accurate feel which is missing from a lot of the online environment currently.

I've been playing your server off and on for the last week, not sure how I missed giving it a try earlier. Love it, spent about 45 minutes escorting 3 flights of Ju-88s to Isle of Wight, getting the occasional scare as the escort 110s moved out of my sight, and then came in hard at me. Never did see the enemy fighters, although I know the escorts tangled with them. It still gave me the sense of a real escort mission, hearing calls but unable to find, making sure I could track the bombers, then wondering what to do as the flights split up a little as they made their runs. Brought them back with 0 bomber losses (I know that the 110s took some losses though).

Great server, smooth as silk, and finally get to fly something other than the Pas de Calais.

Had reds joining all the time, but once they realized we were flying over the big part of the map, they'd quickly leave.

S! von Brühl!

If you are in at the right time, escort the mission that heads from Dunkurque to Manston! Plenty of RAF Spitfires get stuck in on that one. It's a big fight.

And good job flying the escort! Part of the game that I enjoy, and many of our pilots too, is that not every flight is a fight. Sometimes you'll go on a patrol and not find targets. It can be frustrating, but it also makes those moments when combat finds you carry much more adrenalin. Boredom punctuated by seconds of insanity.

We'll look for you and try to give you a fight!
