Just throw out your old machine, burn your clothes, sell your home, change your name and move out of the country so that the old version of the game doesn't find you

Something else to remember, for those that are planning to back up their files, is to backup your missions/mission objects and skins folders incase there's an "overwrite".

Save your controls as a seperate file regardless, I occasionally get a ctd that causes the entire sim to reset as if it is a clean install.

10-4 - so I gather all I need to do is click on save as in the control menu in the sim, name it with a unique file name, and all will be well? Doing this saves everything within the controller menu, ie key mappings, axis assignments?
