Office chairs can be fitted with flat feet instead of rollers - about £2.50 a set iirc

My older setup... Slider built into the chair.




I am not doing this anymore because the stick is higher than the desk which means I have to sit further away from the monitor.

I will most likely build a roll out platform on the desk for side mounting.

After looking at how neat everything looks on your picture i must admit my desk is an ABSOLUTE MESS!!!
